Board Treasurer
Andrew Campbell is Director of Outpatient Operations at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, leading financial and operational strategy across West Michigan. As Treasurer, he applies that same analytical and strategic focus to organizational growth and sustainability.

Board Member
Krystal joined the board in 2025. She holds a Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University. As a mental health therapist in the community, Krystal enjoys facilitating spaces that support our youth's social and emotional development. When she's not training for her next marathon, Krystal can be found hiking or curled up with a good book.

Program Coordinator
Morgan joined NSRC in 2025 as the Program Coordinator while also working towards her PhD in Social Work at Michigan State University. Her work is focused on how to create communities where families can thrive and she feels privileged to get to work towards that goal through supporting the NSRC community. In her free time, you can find her baking, running, reading, and snuggling with her cats.

Executive Director
Megan has her Ph.D. in Population Health from Northeastern University and currently works at the Evaluation Center at Western Michigan University. She started volunteering with NSRC in 2011. While she had coached youth sports for many years, she was never a runner. This changed during her first year with NSRC. She quickly became motivated by the youth she ran with individually and as a team. Megan applies her background in Evaluation, Public administration, Social Work, and Health Equity to her position with NSRC. She is very passionate about sport-for-development, program development, evaluation and organizational capacity building.

Board President
Gladys M. Picó Gleason is the Clinical Manager of Corewell Health's Diagnostic Lung Mass Clinic and Betty Ford Breast Care Services in Grand Rapids, MI. She leads with compassion, and a deep commitment to patient-centered care. With 13 years of experience in community health, she has championed chronic disease prevention in marginalized communities and remains deeply committed to advancing health equity. Gladys has served in multiple boards and advisory committees including the National Association of Latino Health Care Executives, and the Michigan Center for Contextual Factors in Alzheimer's Disease Latino Healthcare Professionals Steering Committee under the leadership of the great Dr. Irving Vega.
Outside of work, she serves as President of the No Surrender Running Club, a non-profit, multigenerational community that promotes physical and emotional health and positive youth development through movement.

Program Outreach & Development
Tyler Koran is working full-time with Move ConMigo through a one-year AmeriCorps term. He uses his background in athletic coaching and bachelor's degree in exercise science for club programming, events, outreach to partner organizations, and a variety of other tasks. Tyler is passionate about all youth having the opportunity to not only participate in sport, but to have the training and resources to excel. Outside of work, Tyler is often training for his next race, playing music, or watching cartoons.

Board Secretary
Alexis is the son of Mexican immigrants from Nezahualcóyotl. He has been running since he joined Cross Country his sophomore year at Wyoming High School and has continued running casually throughout undergrad at the University of Michigan. Shifting more into half-marathon training post-grad, he joined No Surrender Running Club as a Bilingual Practice Leader, drawn to the organization's dedication to inclusivity of Spanish speaking families and runner's of all capacities. As a board member, Alexis applies his media and administrative background to support the organization both at practice and behind the scenes.

Luis Perez is a West Michigan community leader dedicated to expanding access, opportunity, and support for youth and families. He brings experience across nonprofit leadership, technology, and organizational strategy—serving as the Executive Director of Code on Wheels while also working at Steelcase as an Applications Engineer supporting global ERP systems and enterprise-wide technology initiatives. With a background in Computer Information Systems and Business Analytics, Luis blends technical expertise with a passion for empowering underrepresented communities. His work focuses on building strong partnerships, strengthening organizational systems, and creating pathways that help young people thrive. Across his roles and board service, Luis is known for his collaborative approach, mission-driven mindset, and commitment to uplifting the voices and needs of the communities he serves.

Trudy Ngo-Brown is a longtime runner who understands the power of community built through shared goals and movement. She joined the No Surrender Running Club board in 2025, seeing it as a natural blend of her personal passion and professional experience working with youth. Her career in K-12 education and the nonprofit sector has focused on expanding equitable access to quality learning opportunities. At the Steelcase Foundation, she supports initiatives that strengthen public education, youth development, and family well-being. Outside of work, she enjoys the outdoors, baking, and keeping up with her family.
